Man arrested following disruption of Mass in New Mexico (KOB-TV)

Police arrested a man for disturbing the peace after he interrupted a Sunday Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

A deacon at the parish reported that the man jumped out of his pew and moved toward the priest. The deacon stated that he stepped in front of the man to intervene, while several other men also approached. The group pushed the man to the side, but he continued to fight them.

The arrested man identified himself as a Christian and claimed that God sent him to preach to Catholics.
