Marco Bertelli comments on Pietralata case

Marco Bertelli criticized the connection between disability and violence following the Pietralata case in Rome, where a 5 year old girl named Bianca lives with a severe disability. Bertelli stated that linking the presence of disability to the possibility of suicide or murder is a serious matter.

Bertelli serves as the scientific director of the Crea of the Fondazione San Sebastiano in Florence and is the president of the Società italiana per i disturbi del neurosviluppo. He noted that social services alone are insufficient to support families without the involvement of the community.
