The Diocese of Milano has released the liturgical readings for Tuesday of the week of the IV Sunday after the Martyrdom of St John the Precursor.

The readings include a passage from the Letter of Saint James 3, 1-12. In this text, James warns that many should not become teachers because they will face a stricter judgment. The passage describes the tongue as a small member that can cause great damage, comparing it to a small fire that can ignite a large forest or a tiny rudder that guides a massive ship. James notes that while humans can tame various animals and creatures, no one can tame the tongue, describing it as a rebellious evil full of deadly poison used to both bless the Lord and curse men.
