Men in South-West Sydney join global rosary movement
Nearly one hundred men from parish groups in south-west Sydney participated in a procession to mark the Worldwide Men’s Rosary Crusade on the first Saturday of October. The group began a 5:30am walk from St Joseph’s Moorebank to Liverpool, preceding a larger gathering of hundreds of men at St Mary’s Cathedral.
Somascan Father David Romero CRS led the procession along Newbridge Road during morning prayer. Participants carried a statue of St Joseph and banners representing the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The walk concluded with the recitation of the Rosary at the statue of Our Lady in Bigge Park and a breakfast at All Saints’ Liverpool.
Organizer Norman Bejjani said the event was important because families need fathers to pray. He described the Rosary as a weapon of faith and strength used to protect families.
