Pastor Paroki Katedral Atambua holds Bible reading competition

Atambua Cathedral Parish held Bible reading, psalm, and quiz competitions at Balai Nazaret during September 2026 to observe National Bible Month. Parish priest Agustinus Seran Berek, Pr, organized the event alongside the parish pastoral and finance councils.

The competitions included Bible reading for children and adults, psalm singing for adult men and women, and a quiz for Catholic Youth. Participants represented various local neighborhoods within the parish.

Wenceslaus Fahik Moruk, representing the parish priest during the prize distribution on September 27, 2026, said the activities help parishioners know Jesus Christ more deeply through the scriptures. Competition organizer Blasius Gero added that the goal is to help participants apply their understanding of the Bible to daily life.
