Message of the annual gathering of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood: Different yet united in the love of Christ

More than 100 children, parents, and animators gathered in Budapest for the annual meeting of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood in Hungary. Organized alongside the International Secretariat of the Pontifical Mission Societies (POSI), the event focused on the theme that the love of Christ unites people across borders.

Father Tete Remis, the national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Hungary and a missionary with the Society of the Divine Word, said the gathering celebrates the missionary commitment of young people. He noted that the children follow the society's motto of children helping children by offering prayers and small sacrifices for orphans, the sick, and the poor.

The day included a Mass celebrated by Father Fransiskus Xaverius Magung, the provincial superior of the Society of the Divine Word, followed by sports, singing, games, and art workshops. Sister Inês Paulo Albino, the secretary general of POSI, traveled from Rome to attend the meeting with the children and adolescents from various communities across the country.
