Mexique : un prêtre tué par balles, le 14e religieux assassiné en 7 ans

Authorities found the body of Roman de la Cruz Hernandez, a 48-year-old Catholic priest, on a roadside in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, on Wednesday, September 16.

The priest served as the pastor of Santa Cruz in Huejutla. According to reports from La Croix and Aleteia, his body had gunshot wounds and a threatening message was left near him. The local prosecutor's office and the Diocese of Huejutla confirmed the death.

The Diocese of Huejutla has asked authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the killing. The bishop of the diocese requested that people do not speculate about the circumstances of the crime or the content of the message.
