Meyer, nasce il nuovo Polo medico pediatrico

Meyer Hospital has opened a new pediatric medical center in the east wing of the hospital to manage the increasing number of young patients and their families. According to Toscana Oggi, the hospital is reorganizing its layout to free up space in the west wing for new hospital beds dedicated entirely to surgery.

The new center provides outpatient services, day hospital services, and day services. It is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The facility includes a dedicated reception and orientation area to handle the administrative and logistical needs of children and parents. Waiting areas were designed to prevent crowding in hallways and provide comfort, with trained staff available to assist families.

This reorganization is the first step in a larger plan to integrate high-complexity care with clinical research and innovation. The hospital also intends to improve the transition between hospital care and local community services to strengthen the regional pediatric network.
