Mgr Schneider appelle Rome à reconnaître les nouveaux évêques de la FSSPX

Bishop Athanasius Schneider is calling on Rome to recognize the new bishops of the SSPX. In an interview with journalist Niwa Limbu for AdVaticanum on September 2, 2026, Schneider explained his continued defense of the group following sanctions imposed after episcopal consecrations on July 1.

Schneider addressed requirements placed on the SSPX, liturgical reform, and ambiguities within Vatican II. He also responded to a recent catechesis by Leo XIV, which he claimed does not align with history or reality.
