Mission Monthly: Connected in Faith, Grateful in Service

The Diocese of Shreveport is highlighting two ministries funded by the Catholic Service Appeal in its latest Mission Monthly report: The Catholic Connection magazine and the care of retired priests.

The diocese mails nearly 10,000 free copies of the magazine to Catholic households across 16 civil parishes in North Louisiana each month. According to Tracie Stroud, Catholic Service Appeal donations cover printing and distribution costs so that the publication can provide Catholic teachings, Scripture reflections, and updates on Catholic schools to families throughout the territory. These funds also support the ongoing care of retired priests.
