Mobilità sostenibile: Roma Capitale presenta il Biciplan

Rome officials presented the Biciplan on September 17, a long-term sustainable mobility plan that adds 51 new pedestrian and bicycle paths to the city's network. The presentation at the Campidoglio took place during the European Mobility Week and included Mayor Roberto Gualtieri and Eugenio Patanè, the councilor for sustainable mobility and transport.

The updated 10-year plan incorporates feedback from a public participation phase held between July and September 2025. During that period, citizens, associations, and local entities sent 488 emails containing 941 observations. According to Roma Servizi per la Mobilità, 67% of these requests were accepted following a technical analysis.

In addition to the new paths, the plan includes 15 infrastructure projects to improve connectivity, such as bicycle bridges, walkways, and underpasses. Specific projects mentioned include the Ponte Lanciani walkway, a bicycle bridge between the Acilia Sud and Dragona stations, the Scafa bridge, and various crossings within urban parks.
