Bishop Aurelio Pesoa exhorts faithful to seek God sincerely

Bishop Aurelio Pesoa of the Apostolic Vicariate of Beni urged the faithful to seek God with sincerity and to move past confrontation. During a message released on September 20, 2026, the bishop encouraged people to recognize God's mercy and generosity while letting go of selfishness, envy, and behaviors that cause division.

Reflecting on the parable of the workers in the vineyard, Pesoa explained that seeking the Lord requires turning away from evil, trusting in God, and listening to His word. He stated that salvation is a gift of God's compassionate love rather than a personal achievement. The bishop advised the community to value faithfulness and responsibility in their missions instead of focusing on the number of works or merits they possess.

Pesoa also addressed national concerns, including the lack of dignified work, difficulties accessing healthcare, inequitable justice, and fuel shortages. He noted that these challenges require a sincere conversion and a commitment to living according to the Gospel.
