Monseñor Juan Gómez confirms 40 at Parroquia Cristo Liberador

Monsignor Juan Gómez, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Santa Cruz, confirmed 40 young people and adults at Cristo Liberador Parish on Saturday night, September 12.

The recipients completed a period of catechetical preparation before receiving the sacrament of confirmation. During the Mass, which was concelebrated by parish priest Father Julio Rosero, Bishop Gómez told the group that confirmation marks the beginning of a new stage of commitment to Christ and the Church rather than the end of a process.

Bishop Gómez encouraged the newly confirmed to strengthen their faith through prayer, the Eucharist, formation, and service. He also urged them to act as witnesses for Christ in their families, studies, workplaces, and society. To avoid living faith in isolation, the bishop invited the group to stay connected to their parish community to continue growing.
