‘More than just a book’

Father Tyler Tenbarge, the director of vocations for the Diocese of Evansville, has written a new book titled The Savio Project: Four Weeks to Become a Saint. The book serves as a 28-day guide for young men to engage in spiritual reading, holiness challenges, and fraternity groups.

Tenbarge developed the book to address the needs of young men in the Savio apostolate within the diocese. While he had previously written about the life of St. Dominic Savio, he wrote this specific project over two weeks after realizing the apostolate needed a way to help members know the saint and find mentorship.

The project uses spiritual reading to help participants identify areas for personal growth. The included holiness challenges are designed to help young men practice virtue for four consecutive weeks to solidify new habits. Tenbarge stated that the book is intended to help the ministry find deeper ways to grow.
