Bishops in Mexico are demanding justice following the murder of Father Román de la Cruz Hernández. The priest, who served as the pastor of Santa Cruz parish in the Diocese of Huejutla, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds on a road in the state of Hidalgo.

The Mexican Conference of Bishops expressed grief and anger over the killing. The group requested that authorities conduct a thorough investigation to quickly bring the perpetrators to justice.
