Movie Review: ‘Adore Him: He Is Here’

The documentary Adore Him: He Is Here will have a limited theatrical run from Oct. 4 to Oct. 8. Written and directed by Donald J. Johnson, the 90-minute film explores the scriptural foundations of the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament through dramatizations of Old and New Testament events.

The film features interviews with Archbishop Paul S. Coakley of Oklahoma City and Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles. These leaders discuss the pastoral value of spending time with Jesus. The documentary also includes personal testimonies from people whose lives were changed by Eucharistic exposition and examines why young people are drawn to adoration.

Viewers will see footage from various locations, including a Chicago parish, Times Square in New York City, and Vienna, Austria. The film also uses archival footage of St. Teresa of Kolkata.
