Nach Restaurierung in Schau-Atelier / Dresdner Kunstsammlungen zeigen wieder Altarbild von Correggio

The Dresden State Art Collections (SKD) has returned the restored altarpiece "Madonna of Saint Sebastian" to public view. The painting, created by Italian Renaissance artist Correggio, was reframed and secured at the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister in Dresden on Monday.

The restoration process took 4 years to complete. According to the SKD, the work is approximately 3 meters high and now displays its original colors.
