CBCEW invites deacons to National Assembly

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales invites deacons from across the country to the National Deacons Assembly from Friday, September 4, to Sunday, September 6, at Woodland Grange in Leamington Spa.

The assembly focuses on the theme of human dignity beyond all circumstances. Participants will reflect on how deacons support human dignity, particularly for those facing vulnerability, marginalization, and hardship. The discussions will examine the current ministry of deacons in relation to the Church's recent declaration, Dignitas Infinita.

The event is open to deacons, formators, men in formation, wives, and anyone interested in the diaconate. The National Diaconate represents approximately 800 permanent deacons serving across 22 dioceses. This gathering is held every four years.
