Nazareth School of Nursing alumni gather at Nazareth

Former students of the Nazareth School of Nursing from Mokama, Bihar, gathered in Nazareth, Kentucky, on Sept. 25 for a reunion. The group, which includes nurses now working in various communities across the United States, spent several days reconnecting with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.

Sister Jackulin Jesu guided the group during their visit. The itinerary included tours of St. Vincent Church and Heritage Hall, visits to local attractions, and time on the school grounds. During an informal meeting in the Columba Room, the alumni reflected on their clinical training, spiritual grounding, and the discipline they learned at the nursing school and hospital in Mokama.

The nurses noted that the training they received helped them build reputations throughout India and other countries. Some participants shared that the foundational lessons and nursing practices learned in Mokama continued to guide their professional lives even as medical technology changed.
