Nello Scavo receives the "Lupo di Gubbio" award

Nello Scavo received the Lupo di Gubbio prize for reconciliation at the conclusion of the 2026 Il Sentiero di Francesco pilgrimage. The award ceremony took place in Gubbio following the eighteenth edition of the pilgrimage, which ran from September 1 to September 3.

The pilgrimage led hundreds of travelers from Assisi to Gubbio through Valfabbrica and San Pietro in Vigneto. Bishop Luciano Paolucci Bedini, who serves the dioceses of Gubbio and Città di Castello, presided over the final Mass at the Church of San Francesco. The event marked the eighth centenary of the passing of Saint Francis.
