New documentary highlights the spiritual power of Eucharistic adoration

A new documentary titled “Adore Him: He Is Here” explores the spiritual impact and scriptural basis of Eucharistic adoration. Produced by Fathom Entertainment and directed by Donald J. Johnson, the 90-minute film is scheduled for a limited theatrical release from Oct. 4 to Oct. 8.

The film uses dramatizations of Old and New Testament events to explain the faith in the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. It includes interviews with Archbishop Paul S. Coakley of Oklahoma City and Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles, who discuss the pastoral value of spending time with Jesus.

Viewers will see testimonies from people whose lives were changed by Eucharistic exposition, as well as footage from worship sites in Chicago, New York City, and Vienna, Austria. The documentary also examines why young people are drawn to adoration and uses archival footage of St. Teresa of Kolkata.
