New USCCB resource discusses AI data centers (USCCB)

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops released a two-page resource titled Magnifica Humanitas and Integral Ecology on September 15. The document addresses the implications of artificial intelligence development and hyperscale data centers.

The resource includes five sections covering environmental impacts, the human impact of AI development, hyperscale data centers, community impacts, and where hope can be found. The title refers to the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas by Pope Leo XIV. The bishops' conference posted the document on its website.
