New rules for Canadian military chaplains prohibit the use of the word God, according to a report by Aleteia.

These regulations follow a 2019 ban in the province of Quebec that prevents public sector employees in positions of authority, such as teachers, police officers, judges, and crown prosecutors, from wearing visible religious symbols like hijabs, turbans, yarmulkes, or Christian crosses. The new measures extend these restrictions to members of the armed forces, specifically targeting chaplains.
