Nightfever opens central churches at night to invite passersby to prayer. The apostolate began in Cologne, Germany, following the 2005 World Youth Day.

Students Andreas Süß and Katharina Fassler founded the movement to maintain the spiritual momentum of the World Youth Day experience in daily life. The initiative involves opening a church in a central location during the night hours. Inside, the Blessed Sacrament is displayed in a setting with dim lighting and music. Volunteers go out into the streets to invite people to enter, light a candle, and spend time in prayer.
