Writing for Adelante la Fe, Kwasniewski addresses questions from a priest regarding whether the intention of the celebrant is limited to the words of consecration or if it encompasses the broader intention of doing what the Church requires. The priest questioned if members of the Fraternidad San Pío X believe the Novus Ordo Mass is unacceptable because some priests might view the Eucharist as a mere banquet rather than a sacrifice.

Kwasniewski notes that a lack of personal sanctity does not invalidate the Mass. He states that a priest following the liturgical prescriptions of the Novus Ordo intends to fulfill the Church's purpose, even if there are debates regarding the nature of the new Mass.
