Noche del 2 de septiembre, en Camallera

Milicianos from the Comité de Orriols shot Brother Esiquio on September 2, 1936, in Camallera, Girona. According to Jorge López Teulón, the 39-year-old was killed shortly after being detained while attempting to cross the border.

After his death, Brother Esiquio was buried in Camallera. His remains were later moved to the crypt of the Casa de la Salle in Sant Martí de Sesgueioles, Anoia.
