Notice of Press Conference

The Holy See Press Office will hold a press conference on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. to discuss an upcoming meeting between Pope Leo XIV, heads of the Eastern Churches, and presidents of episcopal conferences. The meeting, titled Ten years after Amoris Laetitia: proclaiming the Gospel with families today, is scheduled to take place from the afternoon of Wednesday, October 7, through the late afternoon of Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in the Paul VI Hall.

The press conference will feature Professor Gabriella Gambino, undersecretary of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life; Professor Orietta Rachele Grazioli, a lecturer at the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences; and Father Giacomo Costa, S.J., a consultor for the General Secretariat of the Synod.

The meeting will conclude with a Mass presided over by Pope Leo XIV in Saint Peter’s Square at 10:00 a.m. on October 14. Journalists wishing to attend the press conference remotely must apply through the Holy See Press Office online accreditation system at least two hours before the event begins.
