Notice of Press Conference

The Holy See Press Office will hold a press conference on Friday, October 2, 2026, to present an upcoming meeting with Pope Leo XIV. The meeting, titled Ten years after Amoris Laetitia: proclaiming the Gospel with families today, will bring together the heads of the Eastern Churches and presidents of episcopal conferences.

The gathering is scheduled to take place in the Paul VI Hall from the afternoon of Wednesday, October 7, until the late afternoon of Wednesday, October 14, 2026. On the final day, Pope Leo XIV will preside over a Holy Mass in Saint Peter’s Square at 10:00.

Speakers at the press conference include Professor Gabriella Gambino, undersecretary of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life; Professor Orietta Rachele Grazioli, a lecturer at the Pontifical John Paul II Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences; and Father Giacomo Costa, S.J., a consultor for the General Secretariat of the Synod. The press conference will be livestreamed on the Vatican News YouTube channel.
