Bishop Arturo García to preside over thanksgiving mass in Valencia

Bishop Arturo García, auxiliary bishop of Valencia, presided over a thanksgiving mass for the deceased at the Nuestra Señora de Gracia parish in the La Torre neighborhood. The mass followed the reopening and dedication of the temple, which was held on Saturday by Archbishop Enrique Benavent.

The parish reopened after two years of reconstruction following damage caused by the DANA weather event. During the floods, the parish served as a central distribution point for aid in the area.

Pastor Salvador Pastor Abril wrote to neighbors stating that the parish community is reopening while remembering the families in the neighborhood who were victims of the floods, particularly those who lost loved ones. Pastor Abril noted that the disaster resulted in a stronger sense of community and belonging among residents.
