O pastor no meio do povo: Visita Pastoral fortalece os laços de fé e comunhão em Assú

Bishop Francisco de Sales completed the first stage of his 2026–2031 pastoral visit at the Paróquia de São João Batista in Assú. The eight day visit, which began on September 13, concluded with a closing Mass at the Igreja Matriz de São João Batista on Sunday, September 20.

Accompanied by Father Wescley Pereira and Father João Batista, the bishop traveled through various communities and sectors to meet with pastoral agents, groups, movements, authorities, and the elderly. These meetings allowed the bishop to learn about the reality of the Paróquia de São João Batista.

Bishop Francisco de Sales thanked the teams and communities for their welcome and noted the maturity of the conversations held during the week. He stated that the discussions aimed to align the parish's steps toward becoming a missionary and present Church.
