Bishops of Nueva Pamplona Ecclesiastical Province meet in Cúcuta

Bishops from the Nueva Pamplona ecclesiastical province met in Cúcuta on September 21 and 22 to plan pastoral actions for 2027. The meeting allowed the prelates to discuss social, pastoral, and ecclesial realities within their specific jurisdictions.

The gathering included Archbishop Jorge Alberto Ossa Soto of Nueva Pamplona, Bishop Orlando Olave Villanoba of Ocaña, Bishop Israel Bravo Cortés of Tibú, Bishop Jaime Cristóbal Abril González of Arauca, and Bishop José Libardo Garcés Monsalve of Cúcuta. The bishops used the meeting to identify challenges facing their communities and to coordinate collaborative evangelization efforts for the coming year.
