Octogenarians honored as ‘foundation upon which this parish stands’

Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Turnersville recently held a celebration to honor parishioners aged 80 and older. During the Mass, members of the Faith In Action team greeted each octogenarian with a flower and escorted them to their seats.

Parish pastor Father Yvans Jazon told the attendees that they serve as the foundation of the parish community. He noted that while aging may make it difficult to attend Mass or participate in activities, their importance to the community remains unchanged. Father Jazon thanked the group for their years of prayer, worship, volunteering, and for raising their families in the faith.

The honored guests, along with their spouses and caregivers, attended a lunch in the Parish Center that included music and a time to share memories.
