Justyna Rechnio was consecrated as a virgin in the Elbląg Diocese during a Mass held Saturday at the Co-cathedral of St. Wojciech in Prabuty. Bishop Wojciech Skibicki presided over the liturgy.

During his homily, Bishop Skibicki described the consecration as a gift to the Church and a witness to others. He noted that such a decision can encourage people to reflect on making Christ the center of their lives. The bishop added that while the consecration is a personal event for Rechnio, it holds importance for the entire community.

Consecrated virginity is an individual form of consecrated life where a woman commits her life to Christ while remaining in the world to serve the Church.
