The Diocese of Częstochowa announced that Monsignor Eugeniusz Lubiszewski died on September 19, 2026, at the age of 85. He most recently lived at the Priests' House in Częstochowa after serving for many years as the pastor of the Przystajnia parish.

A mourning Mass led by Archbishop Wacław Depo will be held on Monday, September 21, at 19.00 at the Przystajnia parish. A funeral Mass led by Bishop Antoni Długosz will take place on Tuesday, September 22, at 11.00 at the Janów parish, followed by burial at the parish cemetery in Janów.

Lubiszewski worked in the parishes of Bęczkowice, Żytniów, Parzymiechy, Sosnowiec, and Częstochowa. He also served as the administrator and later the pastor of the parish in Komorniki. His roles included serving as the spiritual father of the Praszkow deanery, the deanery family chaplain and vice dean of the Truskolaw deanery, and a member of the Priests' Council of the Archdiocese of Częstochowa from 2018 to 2021.
