Restorers have uncovered a letter hidden inside a tower knob of the Csíksomlyó church, containing a prayer from 1941. The document was found during recent renovations of the building.

The letter, placed there by the community at that time, asks for the protection of the Székely people and their sanctuary from all adversity. The text also requests better and happier times for the people, whom the community described as having suffered much and living in poverty. In addition to the prayer, the letter records details regarding the church's renovation at that time.
