Paul marches toward Jerusalem

Saint Paul traveled toward Jerusalem despite repeated warnings from prophets that he would face arrest. According to Father Anthony Ho, Paul's decision to continue the journey was made under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

During his travels, the community at Tyre gathered on the beach to pray with Paul before he sailed. Later, the prophet Agabus demonstrated a prophecy by binding his own hands and feet with Paul's belt. Agabus declared that the Holy Spirit revealed the Jews would bind the owner of the belt in Jerusalem and hand him over to the Gentiles.

This journey mirrors the journey of Jesus described in the Gospel of Luke, where Jesus travels toward Jerusalem to face his death. The parallels between Paul's path and Jesus' journey include the specific prediction of being handed over to the Gentiles.
