Our Lady of the Rosary parish in St Mary’s kickstarts new pro-life initiative

Our Lady of the Rosary parish in St Mary’s is launching the St John Paul Life Alliance Inc., a parish-led group dedicated to promoting the dignity of human life from conception to natural death. The group will hold a fundraising dinner on Saturday, 24 October, to begin its work.

The alliance intends to use prayer, education, advocacy, and compassionate support to reach both the parish and the wider community. Director Marsha O’Meara, a parishioner at Our Lady of the Rosary, said the group aims to equip parishioners to build a culture of life. O’Meara, who shared her personal journey of returning to the faith following a traumatic abortion in her youth, said her experiences inspired her involvement in pro-life work.
