Pace: “Un’altra difesa è possibile”, superate le 50mila firme. Vignarca: “Non solo militari, servono Corpi civili di pace”

The "Another defense is possible" campaign has collected more than 50,000 signatures, meeting the requirement to bring a popular legislative proposal to Parliament. The proposal seeks to establish an unarmed and nonviolent civil defense department under the Presidency of the Council.

This new department would integrate the civil service, civil protection, and civil peace corps. Vignarca stated that the initiative envisions trained contingents of thousands of professionals rather than relying solely on military forces.

The signature collection process is scheduled to continue until September 18.
