Padre Aurelio Riva scj celebrates 60 years of priesthood

The parish community of Sant’Antonino Martire in Triuggio, Italy, celebrated the 60th anniversary of Father Aurelio Riva's priesthood on Sunday, September 20. Father Riva, a missionary from the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (scj) who has served in Brazil for many years, returned to Italy for a brief period of rest to mark the occasion.

The celebration included a solemn Mass presided over and concelebrated by Father Riva. He was joined at the altar by the local parish priest, Father Damiano Selle, several local priests, and Father Enrico Frigerio scj, the Regional Vicar in Italy.

During his homily, Father Riva shared reflections from his long vocational journey and missionary service. He emphasized the importance of every person feeling loved, welcomed, and precious.
