Pope Leo XIV sent a message to the fifth National March for Life held in Bratislava on Sunday, September 20. The message, read by the apostolic nuncio, Bishop Nicola Girasoli, encouraged participants to promote a culture that cares for the most fragile and defenseless to help build a more fraternal and solidary society.

The Pope expressed his wishes that the event serve as a moment to awaken a renewed awareness of life as a precious gift from God that must be welcomed and protected from conception until its natural end. Thousands of citizens, families, and young people gathered to reaffirm the intrinsic dignity of every human being.

The March for Life is a social and religious mobilization that originated in the United States in 1974. Over time, the event has expanded to include various European capitals.
