Papa: ao invés de resignação, participação ativa da sociedade pela paz e o bem comum

Pope Leo XIV told a delegation from the Centro Internacional de Estudos Papa Leão XIV in Florence that society must actively participate in building peace and the common good rather than resigning to current challenges.

The Pope stated that instead of wars, society should work toward building peace and fair balances that foster civilization through the active involvement of all social and cultural groups. He noted that modern challenges require constant interaction between the baptized and the Magisterium, citizens and experts, and the people and institutions. He described public and political life as a service to the common good, which he said is the opposite of resignation.
