Papa cria nova fundação de apoio ao Dicastério para Evangelização

Pope Leo XIV approved the statutes for a new legal entity, Donum Missionis, to support the Dicastery for Evangelization. This foundation merges the existing Domus Missionalis and Domus Urbaniana foundations into a single institution.

Donum Missionis will oversee the care, preservation, and maintenance of colleges that provide housing and support for seminarians, priests, and religious from mission territories in Africa, Asia, America, and Oceania who travel to Rome to study at Pontifical Universities.

The decision to unite the two foundations aims to harmonize their canonical status with current regulations and the curial reforms promoted by Pope Francis through Praedicate Evangelium.
