Papa em mensagem a simpósio: IA deve ser instrumentos de paz

Pope Leo XIV sent a message to participants of the first AI4Peace international symposium, stating that artificial intelligence should serve human dignity and act as an instrument of peace rather than creating new divisions or inequalities. The message was read by Father Andrea Ciucci, chancellor of the Pontifical Academy for Life, at the start of the event.

The biennial global symposium takes place from September 21 to September 22 at the Pontifical Lateran University. Experts, researchers, and representatives from academic and international organizations are meeting in person at the university's Magna Auditorium and in virtual rooms to discuss how artificial intelligence affects conflict prevention, conflict resolution, human rights protection, and new governance models.
