According to Vatican News, the Pope stated that local monasteries serve as sites to announce the kerygma, which is the message of the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He noted that monastic life embodies diakonia through both spiritual and physical acts of mercy.

The Pope explained that the primary goal is to enable local monks and nuns to act as witnesses to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church throughout various parts of Italy.
