Pope Leo XIV told newly ordained bishops to model their leadership after the heart of Jesus the Good Shepherd during a training course. The session was organized by the Dicasteries for Bishops, for Churches, and for Evangelization for those ordained within the last year.

In his address, the Pope described the role of a bishop as a service of love. He told the participants that no bishop walks alone and encouraged them to remain close to Jesus.
