Paroki Idakebo closes BKSN 2026 with Eucharistic celebration

Idakebo Parish concluded its BKSN 2026 reflections with a Mass on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The celebration took place at the Santa Maria Ratu Rosari Idakebo Parish Church during preparations for the inauguration of the parish church.

Parish priest Father Richardus Buang Lela led the Mass and the homily. He encouraged the community to move beyond reading and understanding the text by applying its messages to their daily lives. Father Richardus noted that the conclusion of BKSN 2026 coincided with the feast of Santo Hieronimus.

Father Richardus told the congregation that translating should involve more than changing text from one language to another, such as into the Mee language. He stated that believers are called to translate the message through their attitudes and actions. He also noted that the text is a primary way for the community to know Yesus Kristus.
