Paróquia Santo Antônio in Guanambi celebrates 1st Anniversary of Dedication of Church Altar

The Santo Antônio Parish in Guanambi celebrated the 1st anniversary of the dedication of its main church altar during a Mass on Monday, September 21. Parish priest Father João Silva de Sá Teles presided over the liturgy, which included representatives from local pastoral communities, movements, and groups.

The celebration included the Pequenas Filhas de São José, a congregation with a spiritual connection to the parish. One year ago, on the date of the altar's dedication, a first-class relic of Blessed José Baldo, the founder of the Pequenas Filhas de São José, was placed within the altar.

The Mass also served to thank donors, benefactors, and tithers who funded the renovation of the presbytery and the construction of the sacristy. Father Teles described the church as a space for prayer, silence, and holiness intended to facilitate encounters between God and the faithful.
