Paróquias in Curitiba to bless animals on October 3

Several parishes in Curitiba will host animal blessings to honor the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology and animals. The Archdiocese of Curitiba announced various locations and times for these celebrations.

On October 3, the Santuário São Francisco de Assis in Xaxim will begin blessings at 2:00 p.m. at Rua Francisco Derosso, 715. Other scheduled blessings for that day include Paróquia São Grato in Mossunguê, Paróquia São João Batista in Cidade Industrial de Curitiba, and Paróquia Santo Antonio in Boa Vista following the 4:00 p.m. mass.

Additional blessings on October 3 will take place at the Santuário Nossa Senhora do Rosário de Fátima in Tarumã, Paróquia São Martinho de Lima in Cajuru, and Paróquia São Braz. Earlier, on October 2, PUCPR will host an event at Rua Imac. Conceição, 1155, which includes pet blessings, the distribution of plants, and basic pet care guidance.
