‘Partying for a purpose’: Catholic young adults put faith into practice at masquerade gala

More than 220 young Catholic adults gathered at the Wee Burn Country Club for the second annual Young Adult Masquerade Gala to raise money for Catholic school students. Hosted by Young Catholic Professionals Fairfield County and Catholic 203, the event raised over $16,000 to support the Foundations in Education Hardship Fund. These funds will fully pay for four scholarships for children facing extreme or life-changing circumstances.

The evening included a cocktail hour, a buffet dinner, and music from a DJ. Father Sam Kachuba, the Episcopal Vicar for Young Adult Ministries of the Diocese of Bridgeport, performed a short violin piece and opened the dance floor. Guests attended the gala in various costumes, including masks, gowns, and black tie attire.
