Pastoral Penitenciaria celebrates convivence day in Osuna

Chaplains and volunteers from the Pastoral Penitenciaria of the Archdiocese of Seville held a day of fellowship in Osuna to mark the feast of Nuestra Señora de la Merced.

The group met at the Cilla del Cabildo building, where the parish priest of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, José Francisco Durán, and local youth welcomed them with a shared breakfast. Participants later took a guided tour of the Colegiata de Osuna.

The attendees also visited the Monasterio de la Encarnación, where the mercedarias descalzas hosted the chaplains and volunteers for prayer and a dialogue regarding their experiences.

The day concluded with a Mass at the church of Santo Domingo, presided over by Manuel Franco and concelebrated by Roy Madavana and two deacons from the Pastoral Penitenciaria. The gathering ended with a communal meal.
